About the Program

This 6 week training program prepares a student for the entry level position of biomanufacturing technician. In addition to providing the foundational technical skills needed for the role, students will learn work readiness skills that can help them find and keep a job. Join the Biotech Bridge Training Academy to prepare for a career with many opportunities to advance. Entry level salary is typically $20 per hour. The program is provided at no-cost to those who qualify.

Those with reading and math skills at or above the 9th grade level are well-prepared for the math and science topics taught during the academy. Students who believe they don’t have a strong background in math or science should not be discouraged to apply because math and science for the workplace are taught during the academy. Most importantly, a desire to learn, interest in the field of biotechnology, and commitment to the program determine individual success in the program. Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

The next Biotech Training Academy will be held on campus Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, from February 26 - April 2, 2024..
